J.R. Nichols started writing as a child. While mostly bored in school, she came alive when given a writing assignment. She read books voraciously as a young person, but less so as an adult, as she came of age during the explosion of the internet and has found much to read online. She has since returned to the land of books, and has re-discovered her first love – a well-told story. Her favorite tales feature characters that seem real enough to love or to hate, to cheer for or against, and storylines that linger in the memory of the reader, for better, or for worse. It is this kind of experience J.R. Nichols endeavors to give readers of her short fiction. She has won several flash fiction competitions, has been featured on the “No Extra Words” podcast, and has been published in short fiction anthologies under another name. You can find her first novelette, Second Chance, for sale on Amazon. Parts two and three of the series are currently scheduled to be released in the fall of 2018. You can also visit her Patreon Page, where you’ll get access to previews of her latest short works, available in their entirety exclusively to her Patrons.
